What a day!
We are again amazed by the joy and creativity YOU brought to the Great Hauntway this year. The Hauntway will return in 2024, but for now please enjoy these videos and photos brought to you by our amazing volunteers, and learn more about our other events, and the future of Great Highway Park, at our website. www.greathighwaypark.com
Check out our photos!
Thanks to Kemily Visuals for sharing their pictures here.
If you visited our photo booth portraits can be found here.
Thank you volunteer Boone Ashworth for our own photo gallery.
Thank you to our 2023 Sponsors!
This year's Hauntway is made possible thanks to a grant from Avenue Greenlight with additional financial support from our community partners:
The Great Hauntway wouldn't exist without the support of the community, and especially our sponsors.
Thank you as well to the following sponsors for helping make the Hauntway possible

You are invited to
Trick or Treat at the Beach!
The Great Hauntway is a community powered Halloween party.
Come enjoy a safe, car-free Halloween for all at The Great Highway Park.
Activities include:
trick or treating
arts & crafts
bounces houses
big bubbles
live music!
The Hauntway will appear on the Upper Great Highway between Judah and Taraval.
Take the Shuttle!
New this year! SF Rec and Park is running a special edition of the Golden Gate Shuttle for Hauntway guests. Click here to learn more.
Parking in the neighborhood is limited so we encourage guests to bike or take Muni.
The N-Judah, L-Taraval, and the 7, 18, 23 & 48 Muni bus lines all service the Hauntway.
Bike Parking will be provided at Judah, Noriega and Taraval.
We are committed to a Hauntway that is accessible for everyone.
There are ADA-accessible ramps to the Great Hauntway at Judah, Lawton, Noriega, Pacheco, Rivera, & Taraval.
Since last year SFMTA has added a new blue curb parking space on the lower great highway at Taraval. There are white loading zones at Judah and Taraval as well.
There will be non-food treats offered at a number of trick or treat stations. We are sharing Teal Pumpkin Project resources and suggestions with station hosts. We are also sharing resources with station leads on hosting trick or treaters with autism.
If you would like any assistance please email us at trickortreat@greathighwaypark.com and we’ll do whatever we can to ensure you can join us!
What is a Trick or Treat Station?
It’s whatever you want it to be!
This is a Halloween block party with a beach side twist. Bring your lawn chairs, a small table, decorations, whatever suits your fancy!
Just don’t forget the treats.
Please keep in mind:
Please only bring commercially packaged candy for our trick or treaters.
Please consider offering a separate bowl of non-food treats for families with food allergies.
Packing it in? Plan to pack it out. Help us keep the Hauntway cleaner than we found it.
Ocean Beach can be windy. Beware of decorations that look like sails!
All hosts will need to check in at one of our information stations prior to setting up. This will be located at every ‘intersection’ under the stoplights.
Volunteering
The Great Hauntway is a people powered party that couldn’t happen without the dedication of volunteers like you!
We need help staffing the information tables, running arts and craft events and keeping our guests safe. Volunteer shifts are split so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the activities.
Let us know how you want to be a part of this year’s Hauntway!
